Principal's Message

Families and Students,

Welcome back! I am excited to begin the 2024-2025 school year as your new principal at Mill Pond Elementary. This school year marks my 11th year working for Yelm Community Schools, and my 18th year in education. I am enthusiastic about the upcoming school year and excited to see everyone in the fall. Having served as assistant principal in the district, I am fortunate to know many of you and your students already. Our students are truly a fantastic group of individuals who share a love for learning and their school, which makes me proud to have the opportunity to serve them.

Our staff are excited about returning in the fall to tackle yet another amazing year. I welcome partnerships, collaboration, and conversations to help us continue to be a building of academic achievement and personal growth. Please feel free to reach out to myself or office staff at any time. Students are my priority, so if I am unable to meet immediately, Ms. Tonya or Ms. Jen in the front office will be happy to support and/or schedule time on my calendar.
