VISION

Mill Pond Elementary is a safe, student-centered, and collaborative learning environment dedicated to helping students achieve grade-level expectations and their full learning potential. 

ABOUT OUR SCHOOL

Mill Pond Elementary is a PK-5 school with approximately 450 students. Mill Pond Intermediate School was originally dedicated in April 1994 serving all Yelm Community Schools 5th and 6th grade students. In September 2006, Mill Pond Intermediate became Mill Pond Elementary School serving students grades P-6. In 2017-18, Mill Pond Elementary began serving students in grades P-5. For the 2022-2023 school year, Mill Pond began a pilot program for Transitional Kindergarteners. This program serves students that are 4 years old as of August 31. Mill Pond was and continues to be a Community Dedicated to Learning and Achievement.

We have Title I mathematics support and LAP for reading assistance. We also offer support through Special Education services in the areas of reading, math, and written language. Students who qualify for our Advanced Academics Program participate in enrichment activities within their classroom. In addition to a strong academic core in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies, our students also have access to music, physical education, and library.
